We have been trying to get Johnny Campbell for ages. He reflects the traditions of North West England in his own songs, many of which which promote the ‘right to roam’. He resonates with the burgeoning interest in nature, legend and the countryside among younger folkies, without losing any of the gritty politics of his region. He also organises an annual folk festival in Viking Long Huts on the moors of Cumbria.
