A benefit to support one of our regulars at Walthamstow, Trudi Warner, who achieved some notoriety when she was arrested outside the High Court carrying a sign that did nothing more than reiterate the statement which is displayed in stone inside the Old Bailey.
She faced two years in prison for this but the judge at her recent trial accused government lawyers of ‘mischaracterising’ the evidence against her and dismissed the ‘fanciful’ prosecution. THEN Trudi was told that the Solicitor General was appealing this decision and the saga would continue.
Trudi has been supported by The Good Law Project and Defend Our Juries. Trudi wishes the money from this benefit concert to go to Defend Our Juries.
