Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre Pub, 53 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London E17 4SA
The Rose & Crown is one of the best pubs in London. As well as the theatre the pub has become a real hub of community activity and a haven for live music in the area. The pub runs up to six pumps of ales including microbrewery ales each week. It’s the pub as been a finalist for 2 years running in the east London and city pub of the year voted by CAMRA. Travelling by Tube
The nearest tube is Walthamstow Central and we’re an 8 minute walk up Hoe Street.
By Bus
Number 34, 97, 215, 275 and 357 buses all go past the door.
In addition bus numbers 20, 48, 59, 69, 212, 230, 257, W11, W12, W15 and W19 all serve Walthamstow Central Station, also 123 to Bell Corner (Both about 2 minutes walk from the pub).
By Car
Many of the streets off Hoe Street are in Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) that operate on Sunday evening. The CPZ to the east of Hoe Street accessible from Richard Place and Milton Road does not operate on Sunday, but parking is difficult. You may be better off access back streets to the west of Hoe Street from Forest Road and then walk through (its only pedestrian access from Hoe Street).
